I’ve read recently about BII, as described by a “specialist” Dr Edward Melmed who apparently has been treating women with the condition for the past 24 years. BII is used to describe a variety of ailments reported by women with breast implants. Of course this is nothing new and after the FDA moritorium on silicone filled implants in 1992, the claims of thousands of victims amounted to very little actual legal proceedings. Clinical scientific evidence is always less sensational and is rarely reported, particularly in weekly magazines. Strangely the articles don’t appear to mention BI-ALCL?
