TWS0044 The Breast Mastopexy with Dermal Wings technique, following massive weight loss, was first described by Colwell and Breuing in 2008 as a technique for maintaining the new shape of the breast using the skin in the lateral and medial margins.
However, the use of this technique in association with breast reduction is a new and fascinating advance. It is ideal for women that have large breasts, who want to maintain a “breast shape” but without excessive medial and lateral over-fullness post- operation.
